Dad
JR is the proud dad to Carmen and Cinco. Both of his kids are out of high school and now living in College Station. He is a dedicated father and loves spending time with his kids.

On Sunday mornings you will find JR at Antioch Community Church. He leads the Usher & Greeter Ministry and was formerly on the leadership team of the Discipleship School. His Christian values of honesty and fairness are evident in all that he does.

Rice Farmer
Growing up on a rice farm in Katy, Texas, JR spent many summers operating combines and driving auger carts during rice harvest. In the early 90's, JR was a managing partner of his family farm and was responsible for over 1,000 acres of rice production.

Rancher
Cattle have always been an important part of JR's life. He is always happy to lend a helping hand when needed on his family's cow/calf operations in Rockdale & Gause, Texas.

FFA State Officer
JR served as a Texas State FFA Vice-President. His duties required him to travel all over the state motivating students and promoting the organization.

Beef Expert
For 22 years, JR worked for Cargill, a large international agribusiness company, in their meat production division. He knows all there is to know about beef processing as well as domestic and international marketing of beef products .
